Mark is the Career Counselor for Newington High School in Newington, Connecticut. At Newington, Mark is designing career program for Academy students to search their passions and make relaistic aproaches to finding their career path. Over his career, Mark has been challenging teachers to change the way they use employability and technology skills in the classroom.  Mark has been instrumental in designing and implementing the electronic portfolio used by the students at Manchester High School.  He has done many professional development training with high schools in and outside of Connecticut.  Mark empowers all students to succeed and challenge their limits and beyond.  He has won numerous service awards at Manchester for service to his students.  He is a past President for the Connecticut Career Counseling Development Association (CCCDA) and the Coordinator for the Career Network Organization, a grassroots organization for career specialist in Connecticut High Schools. Mark is currently the President for the National Career Development Association (NCDA).

Kate Cocco, Global Career Development Facilitator Instructor (GCDFI) and former Career Educator at Manchester High School in Manchester, Connecticut.

Kate has a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from UCONN and a Masters Degree in School Counseling from Central Connecticut State University. Kate worked in the Manchester Connecticut School system for 30 years. Kate served as the Department Representative for the Career Services office and instructor for the Internship Program. She delivers numerous career related workshops and presentation for students, parents and community members each year. She was recognized as the Manchester Connecticut Teacher of the Year in 1995 – 1996 for her initiatives in developing multi-leveled classrooms.

Local, state, national and international presentations on career related topics have been an integral part of Kate’s activities for the past 16 years. She enjoys sharing her passion and expertise in the career counseling arena and became a Career Development Facilitator Instructor so she could assist other professionals within Career Services Delivery systems beyond her own school district.
